Describe the IMU calibration method of Mavic PRO
Explain how to upgrade the Mavic PRO farm.
This time we will introduce the method of firmware up of Mavic PRO (Mavic Pro).
1: Let’s put the latest DJI GO application. (As of April 2017 it will be “DJI GO 4”.)
The application download method will come out if you search by “DJI GO 4” from the Android · iPhone application screen.
Please note that there may be new apps appearing depending on the purchase timing.
(I myself was using “DJI GO” until recently without noticing the existence of “DJI GO 4”.)
Also, since it is necessary to register the aircraft from the application, please refer to the following article if you have not done so yet.
2: Charge the battery of the drone body for 50% or more.
3: Keep the transmitter charged at 50% or more.
Farm up takes almost 20 minutes.
You will also be instructed from the application to charge the drone body and transmitter over 50%.
4: Set the mobile device in the transmitter (propo) and turn on the power.
For turning on the power, it is necessary to press the power supply twice in succession, and press the second time for 2 seconds or more. (Please refer to the movie for the tempo you press the button twice.)
5: With Mavic PRO collapsed, turn on the power.
As with the transmitter, you need to press the power supply twice.
6: Open the DJI GO application and check the connection between the drones and the application.
Tap “Enter camera view” at the bottom center of the screen.
7: Click the “MC parameter setting” at the upper center of the camera view screen.
8: Tap advanced setting
9: Tap the sensor
10: Calibrate the IMU. Tap
11: We will tap in the above order. After that, wake up the aircraft to a level place and tap the start button on the screen below.
Depending on the application, there may be a screen different from the picture, please be careful.
12: Follow the instructions on the application screen, you will need to calibrate the drone at various angles. (5 directions)
13: When the calibration is completed, there is notice from the screen on completion.
Summary and notes
During IMU calibration is recommended and should remove the propeller.
It is strictly prohibited to activate the motor by CSC operation during calibration.
